金融援助

所有的学生都被分配了a myBHC email, which they are responsible for monitoring (even during breaks!).

Some students will be required to submit additional information before their 金融援助 eligibility can be confirmed. 为之前的处理留出时间 付款截止日期，提交方式:

Students who submit after these dates will need to either (1) make personal payment arrangements to register for classes, or (2) delay registration until 金融援助 eligibility is confirmed.

Financial aid money received must only be used for educational expenses related to your program of study at Black Hawk College. 此外，符合条件的学生必须:

• Be enrolled in an eligible program leading to a degree or certificate at Black Hawk College.
• Not be receiving federal or state 金融援助 from another college or university.
• Make satisfactory academic progress in your course of study as defined by the Black Hawk College 金融援助 Academic Progress Policy.

In addition, qualifying students are expected to review our 财政援助政策, including the Code of Conduct, prior to enrollment.

经济援助资格 can be viewed on myBHC under Student > 金融援助:

• 奖提供 – After student receives award email notification from the 金融援助 Office, displays eligibility for full-time enrollment (12 credit hours/semester).
• 指控 & 学期资助 – Based on student’s actual enrollment – displays actual charges, 金融援助, 以及预期的余额信息. Please allow 24 hours for enrollment changes to update 金融援助 奖.

奖助金 and scholarships will credit your student billing account after the 10th day enrollment; federal student loans will credit after the 30^th 入学日. To avoid issues with 金融援助 eligibility, students are encouraged to finalize their course schedule before the first 入学日.

• Classes dropped before your 10th 入学日 will not be eligible for federal 金融援助.
• Classes added after your 10th 入学日 will not be eligible for federal 金融援助.

If you will change your course schedule after enrollment has begun, please contact the 金融援助 Office first to determine if your eligibility will be impacted.

Beyond tuition and fees, other eligible charges will also be paid by 金融援助. 这些费用包括, 但不限于:书店收费, 停车费, 图书馆的费用, 等.

Financial aid is paid to students in regular class attendance. If you register for classes and later decide that you will no longer attend, 你有责任完成一个 学生注册表格(PDF) 来自注册服务. 如果你因为没去上课而被退学, 或者因为旷课而被开除, you may be responsible for repaying a portion of your 金融援助.

After 金融援助 credits your student billing account and eligible charges are paid, you may have excess or “leftover” 金融援助 funds. These funds will be issued as a refund to the student by the Bursar’s Office within 14 days after a credit balance is created.

If you anticipate receiving a 金融援助 refund, make sure to set up your 退款的偏好 and contact the Bursar’s Office with any questions!

在收到退款之前, you can also use leftover 金融援助 to buy your books and supplies in the 六氯书店. Purchasing dates are limited and announced by the bookstore each semester.
